Eric Grebe

Working in the medium of decoupage and photo collages and interested in the layering of history through image overlay and juxtaposition. There is a strong emphasis placed on found items and ephemera from used books and discarded published material. Frequent use of vintage scenes of cities and urban environments as places of human activity under constant change. There is an attempt to capture on canvas the disappearing print medium. Incorporation of the artist's own sketches and doodles attempt to add a visual effect and whimsicality.
